elham day
grief and death care specialist
When it’s over, I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument.
I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.
– Mary Oliver
elham is a grief and death care specialist.
What is that?
Well, it is one way to name a specific collection of skills, knowledge, professional training and specialist experience that have been developed and refined over many years of walking alongside individuals, families and communities experiencing grief, serious illness, death and bereavement.
grief and death care specialist is also way of threading together qualities and practices from several distinct disciplines (death doula, family support, grief counselling and psychotherapy, death care work), woven into a greater whole – with the aim of being more supportive and helpful to individuals, families, communities and organisations.
